Table tennis experience for Room 6
On Wednesday a table tennis man came to St Patrick's school. He told us that his name was Dinyar. He taught us some new skills that we have not learned before. I felt so excited when Room 6 was chosen to learn table tennis. We had to listen to Dinyar so we would know what to do.
When we got started we didn't bat properly, and two minutes later we were getting better at playing table tennis. Dinyar said to stop and come and make a circle so we could play a game. We were glad that we were going to play a game. Dinyar told us to put our hands on the ball and wait until he says to let go. Grace and Sulia won the game for Room 6. We had to learn how to balance the ball on our bat, I felt really happy that day.

Revealing my feelings through Art
This term I was creating a portrait of myself. I crayoned my hair black and drew the St Patrick's t-shirt. I gave myself a big smile because I was enjoying myself. I made my hair short and I made my eyes dark brown. The next day our teacher told us to get our writing book and describe our feelings in a blurb.
Then we wrote about our feelings. When we were writing about our feelings we described an action through our words. My favourite blurb was "When I feel confused, I put my hat on my head."
Our teacher made sure that we shaded our portraits nicely and didn't show white paper. We did some lines to describe our feelings with a white wax crayon. Then we had to dye the whole page with blue dye and we could see our feelings come through. It was like magic.

Chicks at Room 6
I think we should always have chicks at St Patrick's because we love having them here. Today is so sad because all of the chicks left but we got a certificate for taking good care of the chicks.
I still remember that there were eleven eggs when Jo brought them to the classroom and when they hatched there were little chicks jumping around.
We got to feel them and they liked to sleep a lot. Sometimes we made lots of noise and they woke up. We all had a great time with them because we got to share them with everyone at school.
It was very sad today because Jo took the chicks back to their farm and that was the last day we saw them. I wish that they could stay for 10 weeks but at least they were in our room and that means that we were the closest to them and that is the story about the little chicks.

Helping Patrick to get back home
Room 1’s job was to get Patrick home but first he had to get the key from the bank.
Patrick had to turn right and get the key from the bank then he had to turn left and go past the flag. Patrick walk straight ahead and walked around the tree.
Lastly Patrick turned right and headed towards his house. We had to make sure we added his footprints and arrows to show directions.
